On the summit of Peitlernock

On the summit of Peitlernock

On the summit of Peitlernock, looking towards the West. Behind is Baerenaunock (left) and Hohe Pressing (right).

And again the same question which I was asking at another similar picture: From which side you think the wind was blowing?

rhime ice

Wind was blowing from the left. Rhime ice like this grows into the wind (and tastes delicious!).

Tastes? Ha, ha, I've never tried it. Must do once!

I'm glad that so many people like this picture. So, I replaced it with a better, 800x600 pix version :-)

Icy flames

Rhime ice is increadible, I love finding it when up in the mountains. Not too long ago in the Lake District, UK, and the entire hillside was covered in the stuff, extending blades of grass to twice their length. Brutal weather but a fabulous trip.

Winter pictures

are my favorite. Thanks for this great one. I've got some winter pictures that I was taking in -25 celsius - it's not easy at all. So thanks again.

Re: Holy christ

If there were more snow for skiing, the scenery would not be this nice, because vinds blew it away.
