Product Description

The "Gizmo" is a very cheap, but "get the job done" headlamp. I bought it almost as a joke seeing as how it was only $20.00, I thought it may be useful to wear around camp at dark while cooking and whatnot, instead of using my high powered one for simple close courtier’s use. I was not expecting much from this device, but after a while, it kind of grew on me. It was very small and light, and though it does not shine very far, it illuminates well enough for camp work.
After a few used at camp, I decided to take it caving with me. Since it was cheap, I was not afraid if it got broken or damaged for its coast allows it to be easily replaced. I did not want to risk breaking my nice lights for such a rigorous task such as caving. It got the job done with no complaints. It fell off my head once from getting knocked off by a low ceiling, but other than that, it was bright enough, and did not break. I inspected it after the trip, and did not find any wear on it. I was so glad I took my cheap "Gizmo" in the cave rather than risk my high powered piece of gear.
All in all, if you only expect it to do what it is designed to, you will be satisfied. I suggest only using it around camp and for little things, or maybe even a cheap back-up for your main light. I would buy another one if my own had problems, but it doesn't, it has held up well to the tasks it’s been given so far!

Great little light!
It's light and uncomplicated. It's also quite bright for it's size. All in all I'm quite pleased with it! It' well worth the $20 I payed for it!

Good for price
Real light weight, and good for its price. I used it for a 5 day trip in the Cascades, and it worked great! A good beater lamp for around camp, and shorter trips.
