This tough gaiter has a front-opening Velcro closure that allows for minor fit adjustments on a wide variety of boot shapes. The Gore-Tex upper is waterproof-breathable, and the camlock top

closure keeps out snow and mud. Neoprene underarch straps secure the gaiter tightly to the boot.
  • Three-layer Taslan Gore-Tex upper is breathable and waterproof.
  • Wide, 2.5cm webbing closure at the top.
  • Beefy neoprene instep strap is durable and provides a bombproof seal.
  • Small fits mens' North American shoe sizes 5-7, Medium fit sizes 7-9, Larges fits

sizes 9-11, XL fits sizes 11-15, XXL fits sizes 11-15 but is one inch wider than the XL version.

Good Gaitors
Solid gaitors that have fit all the boots I've tried putting them on. They've held up well and keep snow/rocks out.

Great Gaiters
I love these gaiters! They are always dry. Because of the long velcro i usually take them on/off without boots on and just leave the velcro done up, this saves effort, of course this isn't necessary. I also disregarded the manufacturers guidelines and wear them with the OR logo on the inside of the leg, this makes the buckle easier to adjust.

Industry standard
These gaiters are great - super tough, waterproof, and durable. You can't miss with these gaiters.

Gaitor Boots with the pimped out Gucci Suits
Just like your favorite pair of gator boots and your pimped out gucci suit, these guys should be with you any time you anticipate dealing with any of the three types of slogging - Sand, scree, and snow - all of which end up in additional suffering if you can't keep the crap out of your boots or shoes.
These guys excel at repelling any and all advances by these items with ease. Very competitively priced as well.

Good to Go Gaiter
I like them. They are tough, easy to use, and work. The only gripe I have is the lace hook should be on the bottom of the velcro so it will stay in place when you are bringing the gaiter together around the boot. Left or right, doesn't need to be labeled, OR goes facing out.

Never-fail gators
I've been using the same pair of gaiters for several years of winter hiking, and I haven't had a problem with them yet. Make sure that the size is right and they're adjusted properly, otherwise the front hook won't latch on to your boot lace correctly, and you'll end up getting wet. The velcro is so strong that it's almost a challenge to undo them (esp. when wearing gloves).

Simply the best
These thing last for ever. Yes you do pay a bit more then other gaiters for them but they are well worth the extra bucks. I even put a hole in them with crampons and put a nice patch on both sides and they are as good as new. I always wear them in the Adirondacks regardless of weather and I literally don't have to worry about what I step in, I know my feet will stay dry.

Gaiter Debater
I traded a friend my Mountain Hardware Vent a-gaters ( a little small) for these a few years ago.

Pros: light, flexible, easy to put on, fit over my mountaineering boots well, Very functional

Cons: small straps, light lower inside material, tears very easily with crampons. Boot lace hook could be improved, top buckle is very light (both good and bad?).

Summary: For comparing to my old vent-a-gaiters (apparently no longer available?)these crocodiles are considerably lighter in all aspects. However these are very functional, very affordable, and I would highly recommend them to my friends.
