i was planning on backpacking the lost coast saturday morning(in like 12 hours), just read that bear canisters are required - is there anyone in town that has one that i could rent or do you know of where i can rent one at this late hour?

thanks all - all the rental places i checked were closed, looks like the ranger station is closed on sat.
turns out rei does rentals, i did not know that. they rent canisters.

There's a backpacking store in Fort Bragg that has them for sale, I don,t know if they rent them or not.

The Lost Coast Ranger Station rents them. $5 per week. cheap! It's on the road to Shelter Cove, in Whitethorn.
