Financial Advisor here. I frequently "advise" myself that I spend too much on climbing!

I'm a contractor and I love my job.

Every day is filled with challenges that take physical strength and mental fortitude to overcome. I love to take on the jobs that the other guys don't want. There are usually a couple of times each day that I encounter the impossible, work though the puzzle, and put the pieces together for a fine finished product.

I often greet coworkers with a cheerful "It's another great day to be working!" Except on Friday, when I usually sing "Friday! Friday! Friday!

Retired after 24 years in the Navy.

For the last 10 years I have been trying to learn and adapt to how the Civilian world operates.... it's a joke.

It's hard to find folks that actually work together and take care of one another out here. Everyone is out for themselves pretty much.

I clearly understand why things are in such chaos and the economy is so bad.

Folks need to learn the meaning of selflessness and cooperation.

That is my new career.

I think I will be casting a lot more Flies these days. Won't have to deal with too many out-of-control city flatlander folks, if any at all, where I go and learn the meaning of life from the Wild Brown, Brook, Golden and L-Cutthroat Trout.

John Gierach has had it right all along....

PS: Ya'll looking for someone to build yur Dream House the right quality way?

Go no further.... Greg Enright is yur man. Lives right up the street from me and I watched him build his hooche from foundation to pounding the very last shingle on the roof. The guy is Top Notch! It'll be done with a TLC the likes no one else can give ya.

He is one of the few "Civ's" I have had the honor to meet out here, that has his head and heart in the right place.
