Hi, me and girlfriend will be in Italy from June 7th-15th and are hoping to climb Mont Blanc. We live in new Zealand and have done a bit of mountaineering to around the same grade and we have climbed Gran Paradiso 2 years ago when we were a fair bit less experienced. I'm just looking for some advice on routes. I understand the Gouter route is very crowded so I would prefer the Italian route ...
I think I'm going to be in Turin for a conference the 3rd week in September. I have some unfinished business to attend to on the Matterhorn and would love to take care of that if I'm going to be in town anyway. Any takers? Would like to climb before the conference.... some time after the 14th ish?
I'm planning on a mid to late summer trip to the alps with a goal of climbing Mont Blanc and possibly a few other "fun" routes and would be great to have more along for the journey (and ropes).
My climbing experience includes summits of Rainier, Shasta, Hood and many smaller PNW peaks. Obviously other local climbers would be a perfect match to get some experience state-side.
hi all, I'm going to be staying near Paris for a few days in Jan and was wondering if there are any good sunny south-facing crags in the area, or within a shortish train ride? Only taking sport-climbing gear. Thanks for any help!
I'm in chamonix and between partners for the next few days. If you're in the area and looking for a partner let me know. I'm comfortable at 5.7 and WI3, looking for PD to D alpine routes, but would be open to whatever. I also lead 10a sport if weather's crappy in the mountains.
I'm specifically interested in the Cosmiques Arete, Chere Couloir, Grisolle and Midi-Plan traverse.
I unexpectedly found myself with a 4 week gap between jobs, and so I booked a round trip to Zurich. I would have loved to have been able to plan more in advance to find (or bring) a partner, but such is life.
I'll likely be bringing my rack, two tools, and mountain boots just in case, though I'm only at top rope tough guy status on pure water ice. Have done Casaval Ridge (climb ...
I'm looking for rope partners to fill in my free time. Preferred are the Alps (Dolomites, West Alps, whatever there...). Lead everything up to 5c trad, sport 6c...
Car, gear, experience available. Give me a shout in case if interessted, have plenty of time and interessted into rock (ice maybe not so much this summer;-)), snow...
Looking for partners to do some easier 3000/4000m peaks this summer and/or rock climbing. I'm in Bern until the end of August. Mostly looking to do stuff during the week.
I am heading to norway soon, and i would like to climb there. I'll arrive in Kristiansand, and then i'll go up the coast. My plan is not made, i am studying the climbing and hiking opportunitities. I think i'll arrive around the 20th of july, and i'll stay as long as i enjoy it.
If you are somewhere in norway, looking for climbing partners, please contact me !! ...
