Highly recommended :)

btw Dragger & HJMC's place is near a very nice crag (Cosumnes River Gorge), which has beautiful granite and an easy approach. That time of year it should be just about perfect.

Another plus for me is the nearby llama ranch ..

I'd love to meet you guys! And I really enjoy going to Consumnes! I've never been there - got rained out the last time I planned a trip to the area.

Perfect! It'll be fabulous at Cosumnes at that time of year. Easy hike, beautiful place. It's a deal! :D

Uh oh... there IS a llama ranch nearby... I will tell them to watch out! (By the way, the llama ranch is right on the way to some really nice wine tasting too! :D )

Having lived most of my life here, I can confirm Greater LA sucks . . . for visitors. I can't imagine what tourists do here.

But it's a nice place to live. And mountains, desert and ocean are convenient.

Now I'm getting half a mind to go out to visit Death Valley.

I grew up with that "Death Valley Days" Twenty Mule Train Borax. Always wanted to go.

I went twice. If you can believe it, both times in '68 and '88 I got turned back at the gate by flood.

So I've never been.

What was really ironic, in '88 there was no waterfalls at Yosemite due to drought.

Lolli, you'll need to be in shape just to walk around in San Francisco. It's just up and down. Of course they'll take you up one of those rock faces in Yosemite. That'll be something you'll never forget.

I'm a big fan of Munginella - been up it six times, and I never get tired of it :) Led a couple of new folks up it last month.

Oh, and things I do in socal when I visit :

- climb at Joshua Tree
- climb at Tahquitz
- climb at Holcomb Valley Pinnacles
- mountain bike near Big Bear Lake
- etc.

No, just me. The Lollettes have to go to school and Mr Lolli isn't all that fond of climbing. He's only done it once, which he thought was ok, but not much more. So this is my climbing and meeting SP:ers trip.
The oldest Lollette wasn't interested to go to California at all, but the younger one is a bit vexed that I don't bring her. She has had California high on her wish list for a long time.
;-) I told her next time it would be family trip...

His loss. I think you picked the best time of year to come.

If you're not interested, you're not.
One must give each other space.

Very true.

Part of your training should be to get to bed at a decent hour. No coffee at night. ha ha

Part of your training should be bicep curls with full wine bottles, three sets of 12 reps each

This makes a lot of sense
