Mid Atlantic Highlands

by birdny » Tue Jul 15, 2008 6:15 pm

Just created the Area/Range of the Mid-Atlantic Highlands
http://www.summitpost.org/area/range/421454/mid-atlantic-highlands.html
From the Housatonics in Connecticut to the Michaux State Forest in Pennsylvania, the Mid-Atlantic Highlands region of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut forms a 3.5 million acre greenbelt around the sprawling areas of Philadelphia, New York City and Hartford.

IF ANYONE HAS PICTURES THEY WISH TO ADD, OR WISH TO ATTATCH PLEASE DO! I have many pics from NY but nothing from the other states.

Well-written
Presi Traverse trip report from a new member.

And for completeness, here's a link to that Huntington Ravine TR that was mentioned in another thread.

Also, I missed Eagle Rock, in Maine.

Lots of activity today to top off an already busy week.

In the Lakes region of New Hampshire, two new members have added three new mountains and a new range page for the Ossipee grouping, plus a new Range page for Belknap.

In Maine, Big Spencer Mountain, and a new route on Mt Megunticook.

Plus a TR from Katahdin a couple days ago.

(stuff in Kentucky got added, then deleted - apparently there was a problem that resulted in elf intervention)

Plus, two highpointing TRs in the East from the past week or so, and a TR from Tumbledown Mtn, ME from a little earlier.

A small piece of the White Mountains now has its own page:
Willey Range
Better overview photos needed. Anybody heading up to say, Zeacliff Overlook, Whitewall summit, or Mt Webster, please bring your cameras.
