Baruntse North from Amphu Labsa pass

Baruntse (24,102 ft / 7319 m) (actually Khali Himal / Baruntse North (23,100 ft / 7041 m) (the peak further left and back)) from Amphu Labsa pass (19,193 ft / 5850 m). The Hongu valley is off to the right, and the Imja valley is to the left. 10 October 2005

	Hasn't voted	If I recall correctly, this was snapped after climbing a few meters westwards along the ridge after gaining the pass.

As you wrote, the peak at the end of the ridge is Baruntse North. In the foreground, the highest point is called Amphu I (6840m Schneider map, 6740 Finn map)and is still unclimbed.
Great shot!

PS. Not sure where you got the altitude of 7319m for Baruntse, but the Himalayan Database give the altitudes of 7129m, 7152m, 7168m and 7220, with 7152m being the one considered as the most "authoritative".
