Bieszczady Mountains - PolandThis album is dedicated to Bieszczady Mountains, one of my favorite places to hike.
They are located in the south-east corner of Poland and are part of the Carpathian Mountain Range. They are most known for their beautiful meadows, dense forests and abundant wildlife.
The highest peak is Mount Tarnica (1346 meters). Other peaks worth mentioning are Wetlinska Meadow (1255 meters) and Carynska Meadow (1297 meters), both named after the picturesque meadows dominating their slopes.
All these peaks are contained within Bieszczady National Park, which was created in 1973.
It is a great place to visit in any season. Spring offers many wildflowers and bird songs echo throughout the whole day. Summer brings lush and refreshing greens of the forests. In autumn, the mountains are aflame and colors are stunning. Finally in winter, Bieszczdy Mountains become paradise for all snow lovers.
Wildlife in Bieszczady Mountains include brown bears, bisons, wolves, foxes and eagles to mention a few.
