Fall Colors in Washington State 2010
This album was made to represent the beauty of Washington State in Fall. There is so much beauty in the mountains in fall around here. Fall color is here everywhere from the lowland decidious trees, the mid-level berry bushes and the high elevation larches. Washington State is a special place to be in fall and though this album doesn't cover all the beauty it at least shows some of the highlights special region. I want thank everyone who contributed over 130 photos to this album. Updates
Update September 12th: Some significant foilage in the Teanaway Region coming from vine maples and from the floor cover. Larches are still three weeks away! The good thing is we still got two more months of this. :)Update September 15th: Both Gimpilator and Redwic found significant fall foilage this past weekend. Gimpilator caught great foilage up on Hannegan Peak while Redwic caught fall foilage up on Table Rock in eastern Washington
Update September 22nd: I did not do so well with the fall color sites this weekend. As you've read from my TR the mountain I did put in Emergency Room. That being said Gimpilator hit more good color on Mount David. The album is setting up very nicely considering we have nearly a month and a half left for fall colors.
Update September 25th: The berry bushes above 5000 are now showing a lot of color up by Stevens Pass. Larches are still a week or two away on the eastern side above 6000 feet. The foothills and lowlands (aka Monroe, Issaquah, Seattle) will be prime the third weekend in October. I put a couple good shots from Sky Mountain and Skyline Ridge while bikejr put up great shots from Mount Washington.
Update October 2nd: More awesome photos have been added by JKuresman during the past week. Redwic also a number of stunning photos while I hit the jackpot with Bald Mountain. Updates have been made to the page so the colors are now shown by the month. This album is really looking incredible and I want to thank all who have contributed thus far.
