Approach
The starting point is the hut Valvasorjev dom (1181m) that is approachable over the macadam road from the village Zirovnica.

Stol seen from the south.
From the Valvazorjev dom you follow the marked route to the meadow Zirovniska planina where you turn to the north and you start ascending steeply in the forest. Higher you come out of the forest and you hike through the dwarf pine and uper when you a re already on grass you turn to the east and over the small valley and then over the ridge you reach the hut Presernova koca (2174m). From here you come on the summit of Stol in 15 minutes.
