Approach

See the "Getting There Section" to get to the Kings Mountain Trail trailhead. Route starts from there.

Route Description

Trailhead is obvious right off Hwy 6. Room for 10-15 cars in the small lot. The first mile is through mossy, fern-filled forests. After that it changes to a typical northwest fir forest. Fairly steep in spots. After 2 and a half miles you come into a meadow area (picnic table in one clear spot) and the summit post is about a quarter of a mile after this. There's a summit register to sign if you are interested.

Essential Gear

None needed except for water.
