Over Sonora Pass and down the Eastern Sierra to Mono Lake
Matterhorn Peak and Sawtooth Ridge from Bridgeport Valley Sierra crest, Sonora Pass, east side Leaving the SF Bay area Thursday morning, June 25, I drove over Sonora Pass around noon and the clouds were building. As the afternoon wore on the sky got heavier and heavier until the high country was covered in dark and flashes of lightning were at play.
