Mount Watkins hike

A morning hike out to Mount Watkins

With only half the route in hand I read the topo from Olmstead Point wrong for crying out loud and ended up bushwhacking through steep chaparral on what should have been an easy textbook trail hike. Nevertheless it was a fine morning out on the north rim of the valley once I heard Ranger Dick, a 35 year vet of the park and his lady friend heading my way on the trail nearby.
