Traverse from May Lake

You can't beat a beautiful day in the Yosemite high country on a clear summer day! I had a lot on my plate over the weekend but drove up Sunday night for a day hike in the Hoffman Range.
Mt. Hoffman (10,850') is a very popular summit in the center of Yosemite National Park with 360 views, one of the finest in the park. A few miles northeast of Hoffman is Tuolumne Peak, (10,845') with basically the same outstanding panoramas.
I started up to the crest above May Lake and scrambled along it to Tuolumne Peak them down the southeast slope and back for a great day out.
Drove back that night. It was a short trip but well worth it!
