Overview

Seulawah Agam is the prominent, isolated volcano visible to the south-east of Banda Aceh town. The last eruption was in the early 19th Century and the volcano and its summit crater is now completely covered in a lush forest.

Getting There

This trek ascends the east side of the mountain, starting at a hamlet 2.5km north-west of Saree, a small town one hour's drive from Banda Aceh on the main Banda Aceh-Medan road.
