Approach

From Sokulipinar reach the base of the Yalak Vadisi valley at 2000 m. For this purpose follow the road from the villages of Demirkazik or Cukurbag. You can ask to be driven up, in order to avoid more than 1 hour of uninteresting walk.

Route Description

From the base of the Yalak Vadisi valley the trail is well marked, it goes through the very deep valley up to the Celikbuyran pass at 3450 m in about 3 hours. From this pass take the trail going to the left on the eastern side of Emler through the rocks. It gets steeper in the last 100 meters.

Essential Gear

An ice axe could be useful in early season when the final part of the ascent is still snowy.

Don't forget to bring plenty of water, especially on late season when the mountain has become dry.
