nice.
These are my regular hiking boot. They are a little stiff for a hiker, but I guess they are much easier to hike in than what I usually hike in during spring (ski boots). I have owned these for about a year or so, and they are holding up well.
The Gore Tex liner is not as water proof as claimed, but not as bad as other liners.
The main gripe I have is that the laces need to be tied in a double knot, or they like to untie them selves pretty quickly. My Nepal Extremes do this too, so maybe it's a Sportiva thing.

My full review
I bought the La Sportiva Trango Alp GTX boot when I moved Seattle so that I would have a lightweight boot to climb in the Cascades. The boot is technically a 3 season alpine climbing boot but I have been seriously impressed so far. I have not taken the boot out in winter yet but I have attempted to climb Rainier twice with the Trango Alp and they have performed flawlessly.

I wrote a rather lengthy review on my blog If you follow this link you'll for straight to it.
