A great tent for the price!
I've had this tent for around three years and it's seen its fair share of bad weather and tough country. After one particularly bad torrential downpour I noticed some water leaking through the seams, but a little seamsealer on the fly fixed that. I also replaced the cheap stakes that come with the tent with MSR Groundhog stakes (they're great)and the guyout lines with Triptease. I've had no problems with this tent- it's proven to be durable in the worst of weather (rain, sleet, hail, snow, 50 mph winds)and comfortable for two big guys. You can reduce the pack weight to around 3.5-4 pounds if you only bring a footprint, poles, and the fly. I do wish the snaps on the vestibule doors were a little easier to deal with from the inside, especially in the freezing rain. They snap on the outside which is difficult to secure. Overall it's a great tent and I would buy it again. The 2.1 has made some improvements and Kelty now offers a four season version, which is a bit sturdier, warmer, and heavier.

Gunnison 3.1
I bought the 3 person version as my wife would appreciate the extra room. The extra space is great but the tent is a bit heavy, I can't believe the 2.1 is only 4 onces lighter, doesn't make sense. Received 6 inches of snow fell and the tent was perfect. Had some high winds and no worries, High like this this tent, zipper reponds with using one hand, easy, easy, easy to put up.
