The hit counter is definitely not working. I posted a new page: http://www.summitpost.org/silver-peak-west-peak/945869

I posted it on Facebook for my friends, and gained basically no new hits. I signed off and clicked on the page - no new hits. I went on my work cell phone where I wasn't signed in - clicked on the page a few times - no hits.

I signed in and clicked on other people's pages, and added hits. Then I signed off and clicked on other people's pages. No new hits.

Clearly, hits aren't tracked unless the hits come from an existing member.

The 'Next' button is not working.
When I'm browsing new pictures, the 'Next' button always places me on Page 2.

There's been another big loss of summit logs. I lost at least 50.

Not sure if this has come up before but finding that with the new editor the option to make a link open a new tab doesn't actually work even if you check the box. My understanding of how the html works is that it should have a target="_blank" section in the link after the address but there's nothing like that being implemented.

Cheers.

Good catch Baarb. The editor itself does not parse out the attribute when going back and forth between source code. So I'm assuming it's a PHP/JS error with producing the code itself from that checkbox (I know that sounds like a duh, but sometimes it can be other reasons).

I've noticed a decline in the number that I've signed as well. At least couple entries that I know of are gone from pages that are still intact (Mount Umunhum and White Mountain Peak) . These have been deleted somehow. I've replace the Mount Umunhum entry. I'll have to go back and look at my records for the date before I re-sign the White Mountain Peak log. There are surely several more that fall under this category that I haven't found yet. Very strange.

I've also found that at least one entry is gone because the associated mountain page is now missing. Perhaps quietly deleted by its unhappy owner?

Heya, maybe it's just me but am having trouble with the Advanced Search function. Namely if say I choose "Areas and Ranges" instead of "Mountains and Rocks" I can no longer choose a particular country, state, continent or activity but only have the option of "All" from the dropdown boxes if I click on them. The other dropdowns such as distance ones seem OK. It's the same with "Routes" or other choices. Also, switching between "Areas and Ranges", "Huts" etc. can sometimes compound the search fields on the page into a big mess rather than alternating between them. I'm using Chrome on a PC but it's no different with Firefox. Cheers.

An elf removed the "needs updates" votes after I adopted and reworked this page, but it still displays as if there are remaining votes.

Yeah. Curious.

When I click on the "needs major updates" on the left. It comes up with "No major updates needed votes yet".

Let's just blame Josh for the moment until someone figures this out ;-)

I tried to make a small update to my Little Petersen Range page: http://www.summitpost.org/little-petersen-range-summits/965786

I was trying to move a photo. The result was everything got way off center and screwy in terms of formatting. I don't know how to fix it so that photos can be centered without causing the whole page to be very wide. Text is all screwy in terms of showing up on the page.

Any suggestions? Should I just redo the page in the old format?

Gimpilator believes it's related to a deleted member's major update vote remaining in the system. Kinda like how climber logs remain when a member is deleted (well sorta).

The formatting was messed up due to many quoteblock tags injected into the page. This may have been an editor glitch. I removed only the formatting code that was causing the issue. As for centering the photos, you should be able to click each one now and change their position to center (worked on my end when changing your images, but I did not save this edit due to not getting your consent).

Old format not needed. 8) If you have any issues with this, let me know.
