A Few Words: My name is Jerry Van Scritchfield I started climbing about 1974. Most of my climbing started in Wyoming. Which has a wonderful varity of climbing. I started on sand stone around Green River and went on to climb in the Wind Rivers, Tetons, Devils Tower,Sport climbs in Wild Iris .Fremount Canyon. The list just expands All over USA and Canada. Which I loved the ice climbing there and the people treated us wonderful. I climb Ice as much as I can , and a other types of climbing be it rock, alpine, sport follows into place when I am not Ice climbing. I am 55 years old and still lead 5 ice when honed into shape. I try to live by these two quotes .One by Mark Twain,"There is perhaps no greater joy than climbing a dangerous Alp .But this is confined to those who find joy in climbing a dangerous Alp". The other I don't know who said it but I lke it."Enjoy The Journey . Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take , but by the number of moments that take your breath away.
