About this trip

A brazilian venturing into technical mountaineering, alpine climb or whatever you call it, at the end of the 2013 season.

I visited the Llanganuco, Ishinca, Santa Cruz, Huaripampa and Quilcahuanca valleys, climbed Yanapaccha and Huamashraju, and attempted Tocllaraju and Artesonraju - didn't summit the last two due to bad weather conditions (end of season, I know... original plan included Alpamayo but there was too much snow by the time we got to Santa Cruz), and then went on to some fun at Hatun Machay. These were my first technical peaks and I absolutely loved climbing on ice. Even though they're not super technical I had tons of fun and wished I had the chance to climb some longer walls, but next season mountains will still be there, and so will I. Will need partners!
