Lakespotting

From intermittent lake Cerknica (Cerknisko jezero) in Inner Carniola on the far NW, down to the Liqeni Shkodra (largest cryptodepression of Europe) on the far SE end, more then 300 lakes span together with the parent Dinaric Apls range. Majority of the Dinaric lakes are of polygenetic origin.
Dinaric range specific are karst lakes, often situated in the middle of the karstic deppresions known as poljes. Prettiest and most attractive periglacial lakes are located on the Durmitor massif.
This is only the small, non arbitrary choice of lakes images supplied on this server. Album is open-type, thus fill free to add images on your own.
