Product Description

The Aura, with its weird design and slightly confusing pole setup, may be one of the sturdiest 2 person lightweight tents around. At a price of $359, it isn't exactly cheap, but this is a tent that stay up in almost any condition you could imagine using a 3 season tent. The elbowed joints, in addition to the large dimensions mean that it fits almost anyone (I'm 6'4", and I fit in it with room to spare, something that isn't true of many other tents). The extra tie down points and the unique pole design -- with one pole crossing from one corner to the other while the other two cross from one corner to the top of the opposite door -- result in a tent that holds up very well in the wind. And although that pole design does take a bit of time to learn, once you've got it down, setup takes less than 5 minutes. The all mesh body makes it all the better for warm weather camping, and is also great for cloudless nights so that you can see the stars. Finally, although the Marmot Aura is a 3 season tent, the way that the tent handles winds makes it a possibility to bring on warmer winter camping trips.
