I recently bought a pair of Patagonia Hog Ties. I Love them! They are great on the trail, they are great at camp, they are great at school, and they even fit in at the office.

At first they were stiff and uncomfortable, but after about a week, the leather broke in quite nicely. They are still quite stiff for a casual shoe, but of course that is not what they are designed for.

They seem to be a little shorter and wider than most shoes I buy. I wear a 13, and these in a 13 are almost too short. Still way comfortable!

The sole has a rounded shape, making them look a little like Sketchers shape ups. It is also a very thick sole. Most pictures make the shoe look slimmer and sleeker than it is.

Features

Vibram outsole, full leather exterior.

The laces are bomber tough. This seems like a small point, but it is still nice.
