Minimalist summit/2 day pack

The Jam2 is what every fast-packer dreams about. Made with super durable Dyneema® gridstop, it features foam padding in the back and hip belt wings for support, and Brock™ foam padding in the spacer mesh shoulder straps for long-lasting comfort. Store items you want quick access to in the large front pocket with a watertight zip and two side angled stretch mesh pockets. Reduce excess pack room as your trip goes on by utilizing the two side compression straps and the comPACKtor system.

(Note) This is the description for the newest version of the Jam which has several notable changes over the older model. I have the older model and have very few negative things to say about it. One point I would like to make is that this is a very light weight minimalistic pack with very few frills etc. Buyers must choose light weight=simple & not bomber OR heavier=features and bombproof construction. I here quite a few people complain about light weight gear not holding up that well...well there is a noble concept...You mean if it's light it won't hold up like a haulbag?! You have to be aware of these tradeoffs when you buy this type of gear. In closing this pack is well made with very strong materials considering its almost nonexistant weight. One feature I'm bummed about is the lack of gear loops on the hip belt...if this was an option it would make organization of an alpine rack much easier with very little additional weight. As for the watertight zippers on the new model...I think they are a joke, the fabric is not waterproof in the first place. What is the point? All in all a great product, but don't go expecting a lot of frills when it's advertised as having NONE.
