Difficult to tell because cloud coverage is quite low. I can tell you that Mammoth Mtn got at least 3" at abt 9800'. Glass Mtns and Whites were pure white at 4PM this afternoon.

If you go up this weekend (or this week?), please post photos. A friend and I are going to climb somewhere up there next weekend.

That we said he uses a disabled placard when he doesn't need to? Well does he or not?

I wore a medicalert for years, mainly for this reason: police often think a person with a neurological disability is drunk. Many times I've been stopped during routine checks, and the pendant saved me from an unpleasant time.

That is certainly understandable. But still you weren't an annoying little prick who did things that got themselves and others in over their head, either in real life or on the internet (nevermind both) or before or after the neurological issues.

So do you think anyone could get one of these and avoid legal hassles?

WTF does this have to do with 'Sierra Spring Conditions'?

If you and others want to attack someone online, that's your business, but it doesn't belong here. Please don't derail this otherwise useful and informative thread.

Elves, please delete all the off-topic crap in this thread.

I'm not attacking him. I said he wasn't a little prick!

BTW your post has nothing to do with conditions either artrock23.

My problem in life, is that I always give people the benefit of the doubt. But I really would like to hear more about spring conditions!

I really hope to get out to the Sierra more this year, but I am being called by Utah, Inyos... so many places. Aren't we blessed?

Still unstable air throughout the area today, Harlan, and stunning localized squalls moving through. Caught glimpses of the tops of the Whites this afternoon and they got a nice blanket. Incredible light on Mts. Tom and Basin as the clouds broke up a bit. I think it's supposed to move through tonight, and I might try to get out for a few sunrise shots at the end of my block tomorrow. Great bike riding weather with a mild headwind heading up 168 but cool temps.

Crazy late season storm. It looks like the Sierras got a fair amount of snow, even making a significant touch on the inyo range. I think the saline valley folks might be trapped in saline valley for the rest of this week!

Where exactly is that, Deb? Was there much soft snow on the approach?
