Smoky Mountain Water

It is an understatement to say that there is an abundance of water in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Within the park boundaries there are a vast number of creeks, streams, prongs, cascades and waterfalls. The 50 plus inches of rainfall the park receives each year keeps the water flowing. For those who love photographing and hiking near water, GSMNP could keep you busy for a long time.

This album is a collection of my photos of Smoky Mountain Water. This collection barely scratches the surface though. Please add your favorite pictures of Smoky Mountain Water.

For those that specifically love waterfalls, there are a large number of falls in the region. I recommend visiting dwhike's excellent album Waterfalls of the Southern Appalchians.

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
