Product Description

Cytomax energy drink is formulated to provide you with a good energy supply while working hard, while helping rehydration and buffering lactic acid. It comes in 11 flavors. $21.95 for a 1.5 lb. can. Available in individual serving packets, but way more expensive that way. When mixed with water at the recommended concentration it yields about 200 calories per liter. You will pay full price, or nearly so, at places like REI. You can usually find great deals on Cytomax and other Cytosport products on amazon.com.

11th Essential
Biking, hiking, running, climbing ... this stuff goes with me. Good flavors. Taste much better than most out there. It comes in single serving pouches as well as the big can to mix from. It really helps maintain energy levels and keep you going.

Gross but effective
I think it tastes terrible but I haven't found anything that works as well as it does, as quickly as it does so I keep taking it. Have a couple of friends who like the taste and a couple who hate it so try it... you might get lucky. I don't make it as strong as the instructions call for.

Very Good
So, I must gloat/confess that one of my family members is now in charge of Quality Control at cytosport. This product, and many of their others are very impressive. The best i've found so far.

Many of the flavors are sorta gross, but i've got at least one friend who loves each of them. I get it for free, so I'm always using it and passing it out for endurance "experiments" comparing it to accelerade, powerade, gatorade and water Everyone consistently performs better with the cytomax. (even the friend who works for gatorade)

It works!
Very skeptical was I when I read the label, which claims this stuff will make your physical activity 20% easier than without it. I joked (until my climbing partner grew sick of the joke) that my climb was going to be 20% easier, my pack would be 20% lighter, etc, you get the point. The reality is that whether or not it is really 20% easier, it IS easier. You'll notice your heart rate will level off at a lower rate during exertion, and you might even feel that you're able to harvest more oxygen from each breath.

As for the flavors, not great, but I would drink something that tasted far worse to get this kind of result.
