This is a waterproof-breathable softshell. It is close-fitting and features two hand pockets, a chest pocket, a right arm pocket, and an internal chest pocket on the left. All external pockets have waterproof zippers. The jacket uses Mountain Hardwear's stretchy Conduit Silk to provide the breathable membrane. The jacket is lined with microfleece. It has hem draw cords as well as an internal collar drawcord.

Weight: 20 oz (577 g)
Material: Synchro Nylon (40 denier), Conduit Softshell.

Great
Overall, I think this is a great jacket. It is basically waterproof; I snowboarded for two hours in pouring rain and I was only a damp right at the cuffs with no huge leaks. The breathability is excellent. The main drawback is that the jacket is cut rather short. The hem ends right at your hip, about two inches shy of the end of the sleeves. This can be annoying because it tends to hike itself up and, unless you have high pants or another shell, leave your back a little bit exposed.
Overall its a great jacket and I would buy it again.

Good all around
I've used this jacket for several winter trips in the Sierra and found it performs quite well in poor or changing conditions. It keeps me warm when getting blasted by wind and spindrift, while breathability is sufficient to keep me from overheating on uphill snow slogs. When on the move, this is the only layer I will need most of the time.
