Untitled ReviewI didn't think it would be my backpacking stove, or even my winter camping stove, but it has become just that. It is difficult to pack, and I tore a pocket once with the teeth on the cooking surface, but a little duct tape fixed it right up. It is also pretty heavy. The canisters alone weigh 1lb, 13oz. each, but will burn for a very long time. I never take more than one canister, unless I think one is running pretty low. I once used a single canister on a six day, solo winter trip!
I hate to be one of the people on summit post who posts gear just because it is rather silly they use it in such extreme conditions... but this is a piece of equipment I have not really thought about changing. It has the ease of a canister, performs in cold weather, and has cheap and easy to find cartridges. If you can handle the weight, why not?
