6:30 am January 1, 2006. Aconcagua in the morning light of the new year. Taken from 2.5 hours out of Plaza Argentina. William Marler, Nikon Cool Pix 8000.
Wonderful shot of Aconcagua in all her glory. Great shot and thanks for sharing! Take care!
Thanks for the comment. I have posted so many Aconcagua shots over the years. I am somewhat reluctant to post more. I thought people might like this one though. Thanks again and cheers William
Very nice. 6:30 a.m., hey? So, I take it that you weren't at the new year's eve party in the Daniel Lopez tent!
Ya missed out on the party. Probably would have cost me the summit (-:
way to ring in the new year.
I hope that your whole life will be sunny like this day! Perfect composition, contrast, colors, shadows and sharpness. Great shot, William!
Thanks for the very kind words. I feel somewhat rewarded for dragging myself out of my warm sleeping bag and going for that early morning walk. Did not expect to get an image of the week. Thanks again and cheers. William
Great shot William,

Brings to mind Ansel Adams shot of Denali. Incredible detail brought out with perfect lighting.....awesome..
A lot of thanks for sharing.
Thanks to all for their kind words. Cheers Everyone. William
Nice work, William.
W. Marler masterpiece.....quite good...and I've lost track of your adventures and will have to see if you got anything wrote up on this last one.
No trip report as yet. Will have to edit my journal when I have time. Thanks for the comments. Cheers William
Amazing colours. Excellent shot. The shadow disturbs a little bit, but I understand that in the mountains is difficult to catch the right frame at the right place at the right moment. Indeed, shadows are a very common problem when shooting sunsets in the mountains. Still, a very good work!
William, it's very beautiful
