The Map is made out of a sort of plastic material so that water does not hurt it at all. It also tells you where there are over looks and great vistas. Camping areas and spots are also listed on the map along with water locations.

It gives you a visual of the terrain and how steep the trail is at different mile markers and points.

The guide provides more than enough information for novices hikers of all kinds to successfully complete this trail with no questions asked. (An 8 year old could follow it and be successful)

The price I paid for it was very reasonable given its competitor was almost twice as much. I paid $10.00 for it and was weary at first when seeing its competitor at $18.00. I thought it may not be as detailed and complete, but I was soon proven wrong.

I would recommend this guide and map to anyone who is interested in hiking the Black Forest Trail.
