Get all four seasons in a single week

We've been visiting the Smokies over spring break for some years now. This year we went during a big snowstorm in early March, before spring break, hoping to beat the crowds. It only sort of worked.

I thought it would be fun to draw together images of the Smokies in March. Our hikes and backpacking trips have encompassed overnight lows in the teens up to daytime temps of 80 degrees F. We've had swings from the high 20s to the low 70s in three days.

You never know what you're going to get, which keeps things interesting . . .

All of these photos were taken in the month of March, almost all on the Tennessee side.
