Czarne ściany (2242 - 2245 m) – "The Black Walls", the ridge located between Kozi Wierch, from which it is separated by Przełączka nad Dolinką Buczynową (2225 m) Saddle, and Granaty (2240 m). From the Zadni Granat, they are separated by Zadnia Sieczkowa Przełączka Saddle.

Buczynowa Strażnica is the first tower in the ridge leading from Przełączka nad Buczynową Dolinką Saddle (2225 m) to Kozi Wierch. To Buczynowa Dolinka Valley it falls with 400 m high north-eastern side, with a deep overhanging chimney called Komin Pokutników .

Czarne ściany encloses Buczynowa Dolinka Valley from west and Kozia Dolinka Valley from east.

Below this ridge, from the side of Kozia Dolinka, leads a famous Orla Perć path. The shortest way on Czarne ściany leads from Dolina Gąsienicowa, through the Żleb Kulczyńskiego couloir falling from Przełączka nad Dolinką Buczynową Saddle (named after Władysław Kulczyński senior, who has, together with Szymon Tatar used this couloir during his ascent on Kozi Wierch in 1893).

First ascents:
• Summer
On the highest of the towers– Zygmunt Klemensiewicz, Roman Kordys, Jerzy Maślanka 27.7.1906
The section of the ridge from Zadnia Sieczkowa Przełączka Saddle to the saddle before the highest tower– Władysław Kulczyński junior, Mieczysław świerz, Tadeusz świerz – 20.8.1908

Highlanders use the name of Czarne ściany for the whole massif of Kozi Wierch. In the guidebook by Józef Nyka - "Tatry Polskie" there is an information, that Czarne ściany represents the section of the main ridge from Kozi Wierch to Granaty, but earlier, this name was used for the whole ridge, from Zawrat to Granaty.
