Overview
Peak in Italian side of Ötztaler Alpen (It. Alpi Venoste). It is situated on southern part of these mountains. Kirchbachspitze is one of summits in Texelgruppe. (Naturpark Texelgruppe - Parco Naturale Tessa)Sources give different heights - from 2951 to 3053 meters. Like many peaks in Alps on Kirchbachspitze is a cross with book, where you can add your log. From summit is very vie view - to south, including: Adamello - Presanella, Brenta, Ortler Group. Impressive is difference to the valley - more than 2000 m, view like from a plane.
Getting There
From Austria - motorway A22 - through Brenner Pass, next in Bolzano route SS 38 to Merano and Naturno/Naturnsor - from Reschen Pass route 180/SS 40
From Switzerland - Engandin: Zennez - Route 28 - to Mustair and next to Naturno

Two marked paths leading to the summit of Kirchbachspitze.I climbed on route No. 6. We can drive by car, on narrows, alpine road - to farm - about 1500m. From here steep, narrow path. From fam - abou 1500 meters of height difference: 3 - 4 hours. Near summit watch for loose stones and slippery droppings of sheep :-)
