Overview

Queyras is not really a massif but a country made of mountains around Guil river valley. Historicaly isolated because the river is leaving Queyras through a cañon, the valley has mountains all arround that can be considered as part of a massif. The highest mountain here is Monviso 3841m , even if this mountain is entirely in Italy. The people living in Queyras was communcating with other valleys using ways through mountain pass higher than 2000m (most of the pass are arround 2500m). Int he 19th century (1855), a road has been opened in Guil cañon to facilitate communications with the outside. This entire region is now a regional natural park.

This page has the goal to give an overview about Queyras summits

The official web site of the park gives this introduction to queyras region:

A highland region, the Queyras enjoys strong exposure to sunlight because it is at a southern latitude. It is a land of light, an intense light that no haze ever clouds. The Guil Basin, the meeting place of the highest inhabited valleys of Europe forms the center of this isolated bastion. The river, impetuous at is source, calms down and rolls nonchalantly through the high, green valley and then tumbles precipitously to the low valley, the Queyras combe and tears through the Guillestre gorge. In the western part of the massif, the landscapes sculpted from ochre, violet and pink limestone blocks, are highly contrasted. To the east, the high Queyras composed of schist polished by glacier action settles into wide open, green valleys. This is the historic Queyras limited to the canton of Aiguilles and its seven townships (Abriès, Aiguilles, Arvieux, Château-Ville-Vieille, Molines, Ristolas and Saint-Véran), formerly a part of a federation of free states. In 1343, the dauphin (crown prince) Humbert II granted fifty-two townships of the Briançonnais a number of civil liberties, including the right to spend tax revenue (escarter in old French). The region was divided into five mini-states, or escartons, including the Queyras. Ville-Vieille has preserved the cabinet that used to hold the archives for the valley. It could only be opened with the eight keys held by the representatives of the communities and their secretary generals. The rest of the area remained a part of the canton of Guillestre.

My road map has the height of this mountain with 3218 m, so perhaps you could check what is correct.
