Overview

Deez Guys, 5.10a***
Dow leading Deez Guys, 5.10a***

(Dow leading I Can't Believe It, 5.10a***, above) Slabbage Patch is not near as popular as its neighbor to the east, Bumblie Wall, but its climbs are every bit as good.  Slabbage is comprised of one face (west) which distinctly features a long horizontal roof that covers over half of it.  The different route anchors are located above this roof meaning you get to pull the roof on most of the routes.  Two stellar bolted 5.10a’s are I Can’t Believe It, 5.10a***, and Deez Guys, 5.10a***.  Both are on heavily featured stone.

Slabbage Patch is located just west of Bumblie Rock and just north of Flaming Rock, both popular areas with easier (popular) routes.  If coming from Bumblie or Transformer, just hike out of the corridor south and head west to circumvent the next formation west on its south side.  The before mentioned large traversing roof is easy to locate and spreads across most of the wall.  All of the routes but one are on the left side of the west face dealing with the roof.    Deez Guys is at the far right side of the formation in whitish rock.  I Can’t Believe It and Deez Guys are fully bolted sport climbs worth doing.  Best approached from the south via the Flaming Rock trailhead located near campsite #30 but easy to approach via Parking Lot Rock from the west as well.

I Can’t Believe It- 75’-5.10a***/ One of the more entertaining 5.10 bolted climbs in the entire reserve.  It is fully bolted through great rock (varnish).  Hand rail in from the right for several meters.  Clip your first bolt and climb the jugs above pulling a hero type roof via huge jugs to a fixed rap.  Dow

Deez Guys- 80’-5.10a***/ A fully bolted route and good pairing with I Can’t Believe It.  Located at the far right side of the west face of the formation.  Climb the steep and heavily featured whitish rock through well bolted terrain to the fixed rap anchor.  A stemming like start, but mostly jugs from there.  Dow
