Overview
Sierra de Agüerri Agüerri
The bad luck of this mountain it’s the proximity of the first one great colossus of the Pyrenees, the peak Bisaurín, and the beatiful Castillo de Acher, but not one must to forget that from the beginning of the Pyrenees in the sea its height only is surpassed for the peak Anie (2507m) and it’s one of the most important mountains of the valley of Echo. The route is longer than Bisaurin since the construction of the road of the refuge of Lizara to this peak and for this reason it's less popular, but the landscape is really spectacullar with great view of valleys of Belagua, Ansó, Echo and the great west face of Bisaurin.
Agüerri
The normal trailhead is the refuge of Gabardito but more routes exist from Selva de Oza. The final part of the climb can to result exposed for some people since the final ridge is really very vertical and narrow (but not difficult). With snow it's really an alpine climb only for mountaineers with experience.
Names: Agüerri or Punta Agüerri. (Pronuntiation: "Awerri")
Massif: the little massif of Agüerri it's really a long ridge and had another 2 little summits in west direction calleds
Peña d'Agüerri (2283m) and
Puntal de Valencia (2087m) but are really less importants. The traverse of the 3 peaks it's possible but it's a less popular route.
Getting There

*
Refugio Gabardito,
(Another web). Normal trailhead for Agüerri and good place for ski cross country in the area of Los Valles with some pistes.
*
Refugio de Lizara. Under peak Bisaurin, the route go across the col of Foraton if you go from this place. It's possible the route between the 2 refuges from Gabardito to Lizara with some climb like Agüerri or Bisaurín, but is neccesary 2 cars for the hike (or someone what make the route in car across the road). It's a long but precious hike.
