Overview
From the beginning of the Pyrenees, in the west, from the sea up to the first big summits of more than 2000 meters of Larra and Belagua, there are a few mountains rounded with a "magic" green around 1200-1500 meters that due to its characteristic humid climate present big forests as Quinto Real and Selva de Irati.
As if of a line of green and brown tones the beeches and pines cover the hillsides of the mount Adi, though the clear top allows a great general view over the forest of Quinto Real in the north of the province of Navarra.
This slender and solitary mountain is located between the births of the rivers Arga and Erro, and for the north it dominates the little valley of Urepel with a difference of more than 1000 meters. In his hillsides there is situated the first vestige of glaciation of the Western Pyrenees.
In spite of not being very high the green mountains of these valleys of Bidasoa, Baztán, Quinto Real or Irati possesses a few nice grassy slopes that they award an own personality and that also are hard for what it is not necessary to disdain them. Due to his nearness of Pamplona (the capital of Navarra with approximately 200.000 inhabitants) it is a question of a few mountains very visited specially in summer. In winter they attract also to mountaineers that want to start practising the use of winter material in these soft mountains. The final slope to the summit of mount Adi is one of hardest of Navarra and it is chosen by many mountain-climbers to train.

When To Climb
All year. In winter the slope is pronunced and the crampons and ice-axe can be neccesary but is a good climb (the slope is important and the ice is frequent in cold days). Spring and summer are the perfect seasons to climb.
CampingDue to the nearness of Pamplona, an important city with great quantity of housings, there are no problems.
Nevertheless if it is wanted to lodge at the area enjoying the rural zone some options exist:
*Camping of Espinal.
*Camping of Errazu.
