Overview
| This summit is the northern limit of the Pizzo Tambò chain and a special panoramic point over the Rhein valley, Adula group and all Swiss alps. It has a not fine north wall and a not fine side over the Val Curciusa (west) but is very often hicked from East side where Splugen ski-area allows easy and short access. Getting There
| starting from Milano (Italy) by car : - route 36 to Colico, than Chiavenna, Campodolcino, Madesimo, Montespluga and Splügen Pass (2113m) - autoroute Milano-Como-Lugano-Bellinzona-S.Bernardino (tunnel)-Splügen and Splügen Pass (2113m) starting from Chur (CH) - autoroute of S.Bernardino till Splügen then, on the left to Spluga pass from Splugen in winter you can get the Tamboalp with skilifts |
When To Climb
| all year long hiking time from june to october ski-mountaneering after the first snow till it remains :) |
Camping
| no need, can be climbed in any season startng directly from the lower valleys |
