OverviewThe Gross Düssi 3256m is a mountain in central part of Switzerland, in the canton Uri, on the boarder of the Swiss-cantons Uri and Gisons (Graubünden). Located in the Glarus and Uri Alps. This mountain is close-by the villages Amsteg and Bristen in the beautiful Maderaner-valley (biological very interesting). The Rhaeto-Romanic name of the Gross Düssi is Piz Git.
To the north of the summit you find the glacier "Ober Hüfifirn" and to the east the "Glatscher da Cavrein"
Gross Düssi 3256mis a popular mountain in summer as well as in spring with ski. With ski is essential to have a minimal avalanche risk.
