Overview

looking for someone, who knows this range better than me, to share administration .. from Col della Maddalena to Col del Moncenisio This range is also known as Alpi Occitane and hosts one of the best trekking-hiking tour of the whole western Alps section : the GTA (Grande Traversata delle Alpi) here in Italian language here in French language here in German language and here a good guide (only in Italian language) The range is normally intended ad divided into 3 parts : 1 - Alpi Cozie Meridionali = Southern Cotian Alps Starting from the Colle della Maddalena (Col de Larche) the ridge grows with the M.Oronaye (3100m) then goes on, without descending under the 3000m, to the Brec de Chambeyron 3389m, the Aiguille de Chambeyron (3411m). The ridge now comes down to the Col de Maurin (2637m), rises with the M.Maniglia (3177m), goes down to the Col d.Autaret (2875m), rises again with the Mongiòia (3340m) goes down, after the Roc d.Niera, to the Colle dell'Agnello (2748m) Herefrom the main ridge rises to the most important summit of the range : the Monviso (3841m). North of Monviso, after the minor summit of M.Granero (3171m) the ridge falls down to the Col della Croce (2298m) grows slowly to the P.Ramiere (3303m) and the P.Merciantaira (3293m) then goes down sweet to the Col de Montgenevre (1760m) This is the wider part of the range and can de divided into 3 main groups of mountains : - Chamberyon - Mongioia - Marchisa - Font Sancte - Parpaillon - Grand Bérard - Aiguillette - Monviso - Granero 2 - Alpi Cozie Centrali = Central Cotian Alps between the Montgenevre and the Colle della Scala (1700m), the lower pass between France and Italy, at the S limit of the Vallestretta - this is the range of the "Bassa" (lower) Val di Susa This is the less important part of the range and can be divided into 2 main groups of mountains : - Bucie - Grand Queyron - Orsiera - Bric Froid - Rochebrune - Beal Traversier 3 - Alpi Cozie Settentionali = Northern Cotian Alps between the Colle della Scala (1700m) and the Col di Moncenisio (2100m) where this range geographically ends, the Alta Val di Susa This is an important range of mountains that can be divided into the 2 main group of mountains - Chaberton - Tabor - Galibier - Bernauda - Pierre Menue - Ambin where the word importance is referred both to the scale of the mountains and to their alpinistic/hiking features.

Alpi Occitane

I think you should replace Occitania by "Alpi Occitane". Occitania is the name of an old french region that goes till Gasconia :)
