Trip overview

I and my mate Erik made a wonderful weekend trip from 12th till 14th october 2007 in and around Furkotska dolina valley in High Tatras range in Slovakia.

We spend two nights at the chalet below Solisko (1840 m) and experienced cloudy, but no - snowed Tatras summits on friday, snowfalls during windstorms with winds blowing up to 100 km/h on ridges on saturday and very freezing sunrise at the summit of Predne Solisko (2093 m) and ascent in a nice weather to the frozen saddle of Bystre sedlo (2334 m). A part of that all you can spot on our photos.

External Links

Valley Furkotská with neighbouring peaks, ridges and towers dolina is a often target for mountaineers. Here you may spot some photos from such a trip with some more ambitious targets in winter months. The obstacle is that not many mountaineers have the admission to do ascends there.

You're right, it was a great adventure, at least for me! I'm glad you like my photo report from the trip. We ascended three mountains, but I would be more happy if we managed to ascend also Ostra veza and Furkotsky stit and Hruby vrch. Hmm, it seems to become the plan for this year's october trip.
