Wielka Łomnicka Baszta, slov. Veľká Lomnická veža its a summit built of few crags. It`s situated on the ridge leading to peak Lominca/Lomnicky stit.
The west side, descending to the valley Mala Studena Dolina is an impressive, rocky wall - interesting for climbers. On the opposite side - there is more gentle slope - thats why its used as a ski area.
Its a very easible ascent - using cable car to Skalnate Pleso and then chairlift to Lomincke sedlo.
From the Pass is 15 minutes of easy walk. By foot you starting from Tatranska Lomnicka - parkplace just by lift station, and ascent next to ski slopes. toward Skalnate Pleso. Without difficulties, but upper part is very steep. From Skalnate Pleso the trail to Lomnicke sedlo is closed and walking along the old path may be fined, but not many people cares.
It`s a National Park area, so you must care about restrictions - walking only on the path, no fire, collecting plants. Camping is prohibited.
Slovakian part of the Tatras are closed from 1th of november till 15 june. But using the cable car, you can get there alle year long.
