Getting There
From Missoula take I-90 west to exit 25. Take the exit, go under I-90 and get back on I-90 toward Missoula. Take exit 26 and proceed on Ward Creek Road 889. There is no exit 26 from the westbound lane on I-90.Follow Ward Creek Road for 6-7 miles. The trailhead is well marked with a sign and is on the right side of the road. Ward Creek crosses the road just beyond the trailhead.
There are a couple of spots to park right at the trailhead or you can drive 100 yards further up FR 889 where there is much more room to park.
