The phenomenon of deglaciation becomes even most glaring in this valley, due, perhaps, also, in addition to the placement Southeast, more to its transverse axis, with respect to the Central Valley of Baltea from Southwest in the Northeast and that in this last sector is not find great mountain building. In addition to this, surely, was also influenced by the phenomenon of rising temperatures as evidenced by the only glacier in existence, namely that of the benches site at the base of the West Wall Rosa dei Banchi (3.164m). The same, that thirty years ago it reached fully the North Slope of Rosa Pass (2.957m) and tended towards Punta dell'Asgelas (3.021m), it is currently withdrawn from these areas where he left small glacial snow-capped mountains, which is not always perennial, going to "take refuge" at the foot of the Rosa, which, with its ridges North-northwest and West seem to protect it. In other areas only the lakes, including the big one emerges Miserin (2.582m), shows hints of a past glacial extinct a long time.
Il fenomeno della deglaciazione diventa ancor più macroscopico in questa valle, dovuto, forse, anche, oltre alla collocazione meggiormente verso Sudest, al suo asse trasversale, rispetto alla Valle Centrale della Dora Baltea, da Suddovest a Nordest e tale che in quest'ultimo settore non si trovino grandi elevazioni montuose. Oltre a ciò, sicuramente, ha influito anche il fenomeno dell'innalzamento delle temperature come evidenzia l'unico ghiacciaio in esistenza, ovvero quello dei Banchi sito alla base della Parete Ovest della Rosa dei Banchi (3.164 m). Lo stesso, che una trentina di anni orsono raggiungeva in modo completo il Versante Nord del Colle della Rosa (2.957 m) e tendeva verso la Punta dell'Asgelas (3.021 m), attualmente si é ritirato da queste zone ove ha lasciato piccoli glacio-nevati, peraltro non sempre perenni, andando a "rifugiarsi" ai piedi della Rosa, che con le sue Creste Nord-nordovest ed Ovest paion proteggerlo. Nelle altre aree solo i laghi, tra i quali emerge quello grande del Miserin (2.582 m), fanno intuire un passato glaciale ormai estinto da molto tempo.
